Here are three more of my paintings the first two are Jude Rae and the third is Vermeer. I think I painted these too quickly, I need to slow down!!!

Girl with a Pearl Earring

My version of Vermeer's Girl with a Pearl Earring. Approx. 10 by 5 cm so I used a magnifying glass to get certain details on the painting. I also did a self portrait using this artwork as my inspiration, so I'll put it up here when I'm done.

I've  finally uploaded the photo of my finished sculpture. I decided to make a muzzle for it to emphasise the 'No Bite' aspect of the sculpture.

All Bark, No Bite

We are making sculptures in art at school. I am doing a dog covered in bark, hence the reason why it's called "All Bark, No Bite". I'm sculpting it in the form of a fierce bull dog and it seems to be working because my dog is quite hesitant to go near it (I had to take a photo really quickly of her beside it). The head will be the most difficult part to make and I will continue to upload pictures of my progress as I go. =)

Fifi Lapin entry

This is what I submitted for the Fifi Lapin competition...well kind of. After looking at some of Sandra Suy's works, I decided to draw what I entered for Fifi Lapin on a person. I didn't really focus on the shape of the dress though, more the colours. I am very dissapointed at how I drew her hands (especially her left one) O.o
I want to get better at drawing hands....

Superheroes - My second drawing phase

I go through phases of what I like to draw. When I was 9 I went through a Beatrix Potter phase, and then it went Marvel Superheroes, strange creatures, Anime, Shaun Tan, Anime again, and now ink drawings. I never trace pictures, sometimes I think it makes your drawings worse if you trace things.

This is the second phase - Marvel Superheroes:
I was 9 when I did these.

                      The Phoenix

                      Rogue

These next two are ones I did last year.

Babushka Doll

This is a babuskha doll I made last year in Textiles and Design class. Apart from the felt, the fabrics are from a vintage fabrics shop, Salvage. The little aprons can come off, so you could swap them around or make new ones for Babushka to wear.

Sarah Larnach watercolour wolf - I really like how the wolf is painted in tones of purple and indigo. I wonder if this particular print has been done on a t-shirt...it would look cool on a t-shirt!

Yoshiko Nakahara, and my inspired version

Yoshiko Nakahara - black ink pen and canvas

I decided to have a go at my own 'Yoshiko Nakahara inspired drawing'.

Oriental Garden - paper cut

I was inspired to do this after looking at some Japanese and Chinese paper cutting artworks and some of Peter Callesen's works. It isn't finished yet and I am probably less than halfway through it. I hope to upload some more images as I go along =)

Hello

Hello, I am a 13 year old high school student. I am interested in art, design, and architecture. I am particularly inspired by Loft spaces, graphic novels, Japanese street wear, fine arts and anything that involves pixels and pencils.
Well I realised it takes quite some time to come up with a title for a blog (especially when you google your idea and find out it already exists). I was really excited about the title Pixel ink but I googled it and it happened to be an illustration, design and photography website!
